Henry Ford Health Energy Partners, a team led by 南宫NG28官方网站 Development Company and including 南宫NG28官方网站 Power Constructors Co. and Veolia Energy Operating Services, LLC, is partnering with Henry Ford Health to design and build its new Central Energy Hub as part of its major campus expansion project in Detroit, known as Destination: Grand.
The Central Energy Hub, a key component of the expansion, will provide heating and cooling via a hot and chilled water system that will tie into the new hospital facilities. The facility鈥檚 design incorporates advanced technologies such as electrification, waste heat recovery and digital energy management. The plant supports Henry Ford Health鈥檚 systemwide goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 50% by 2030 and achieving net zero emissions by 2050.

南宫NG28官方网站 Development Company partnered with Provident Resources Group Inc., a leading national 501(c)(3) organization that manages projects in healthcare, education, workforce housing, hospitality, governmental, and essential services, to facilitate the tax-exempt green bond issuance.
The Energy Partners team will work together to design, build, finance, operate, and maintain the state-of-the-art facility. This facility will provide a reliable and eco-friendly energy supply, supporting Henry Ford Health鈥檚 net-zero goals for the long term.
Construction on the Central Energy Hub is expected to begin in late 2024, with an estimated completion date in the spring of 2027.
